Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 13 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Erlo Learning, including our website, learning tools, AI Tutor, practice features, progress tracking and paid subscription services.

By creating an account, accessing Erlo Learning or purchasing an Erlo Learning Pro subscription, you agree to these Terms.

If you are under 18, you should read these Terms with a parent or guardian.

1. Who we are

Erlo Learning is operated by Musa Ncube, trading as Erlo Learning.

Erlo Learning
Le Beau Soleil
Hawthorn Road
SO17 1PX
United Kingdom

Email: erlolearning@gmail.com
Website: erlolearning.com

In these Terms, “Erlo”, “Erlo Learning”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of Erlo Learning.

2. What Erlo Learning provides

Erlo Learning is an educational platform designed to support GCSE learning.

Features may include personalised practice questions, automated marking, worked explanations, an AI-powered Tutor, image or photograph uploads for educational assistance, progress and mastery tracking, XP and learning streaks.

Some features are available free of charge while others require an Erlo Learning Pro subscription. We may add, remove or improve features from time to time.

3. Educational purpose

Erlo Learning is a study and revision tool. It does not replace a teacher, school, qualified tutor, official examination-board materials or professional educational advice.

Although we aim to provide accurate educational material, AI-generated explanations, answers, marking and feedback can occasionally be incomplete or incorrect.

You should check important information against appropriate educational resources, your teacher, official specifications or official mark schemes.

We do not guarantee any examination result, grade, academic improvement or educational outcome.

4. Artificial intelligence

Some Erlo Learning features use artificial intelligence. This may include generating questions, explaining concepts, reviewing written answers, interpreting uploaded images and providing feedback.

AI systems can make mistakes. You should not assume that an AI-generated response is necessarily correct simply because it appears confident or detailed.

Erlo Learning may also use automated systems when selecting practice questions or identifying subjects that may require further practice.

5. Age requirements

Erlo Learning is primarily intended for students aged 13 and over.

Users under 18 should have permission from a parent or guardian to use the service.

A paid Erlo Learning Pro subscription should be purchased by a person aged 18 or over, such as a parent or guardian.

Users under 13 must not create an Erlo Learning account unless Erlo Learning introduces a specific parent or guardian consent process permitting this.

6. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and are responsible for keeping your password and login details secure.

You must not knowingly allow another person to use your account as their own.

Usernames must not impersonate another person or contain unlawful, seriously abusive, threatening or inappropriate language.

If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us as soon as possible.

7. Free accounts

Erlo Learning may offer a free plan. Current limits may include up to 10 generated Practice questions per day and 5 Tutor requests per day.

An image or photograph sent to the Tutor counts as a Tutor request.

Limits may change as the service develops. Where a material change affects users, we will take reasonable steps to communicate it.

8. Erlo Learning Pro

Erlo Learning Pro provides access to additional features and higher or unlimited usage limits.

Current subscription options are £9.99 per month or £89.99 per year.

“Unlimited” access means unlimited normal personal educational use. It does not permit automated requests, scraping, resale, account sharing, deliberate excessive use, attacks on the service or use that materially disrupts Erlo Learning for other users.

9. Payments

Payments are processed through Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout.

Erlo Learning does not need to store your full card number where payment information is handled directly by our payment provider.

By purchasing a subscription, the adult purchaser authorises the applicable recurring payment shown before checkout is completed.

10. Automatic renewal

Unless cancelled, monthly and annual Erlo Learning Pro subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period.

The applicable subscription price will be shown before purchase. Where required by law, we will provide appropriate information relating to renewal, cancellation and upcoming payments.

11. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel an Erlo Learning Pro subscription through the Manage Pro section of Erlo Learning or the Stripe Customer Portal where available.

Unless otherwise required by law, cancellation normally stops the subscription renewing again and Pro access continues until the end of the period already paid for.

Cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete your Erlo Learning account or learning history.

12. Cooling-off and refund rights

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

Consumers purchasing online may have statutory cancellation or cooling-off rights.

Where you are legally entitled to a refund, we will provide it in accordance with applicable consumer law. See our Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy for more detail.

13. Uploaded work and images

You may upload photographs, written work or other educational material where the relevant feature permits it.

You must only upload material you have the right to use and should avoid including unnecessary personal information.

Uploaded content may be processed by technology providers acting on our behalf where necessary to provide image understanding, AI tutoring or marking.

14. Acceptable use

You must not use Erlo Learning to break the law; harass, threaten or harm another person; attempt unauthorised access; introduce malware; intentionally overload the service; bypass usage limits or security controls; scrape large quantities of content; resell access; create accounts for fraudulent purposes; or upload illegal or seriously harmful material.

Educational experimentation and ordinary student questions do not breach these rules merely because they involve difficult, controversial or sensitive academic subjects.

15. Account suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe there has been serious or repeated misuse, fraud, security abuse, unlawful activity or a material breach of these Terms.

Where reasonable and appropriate, we will attempt to explain the reason and will take particular care when decisions affect a child user.

16. Intellectual property

The Erlo Learning name, branding, software, website design and original educational material are owned by us or used under licence.

You may use Erlo Learning content for your own personal, non-commercial study.

Content you upload remains yours or belongs to its existing owner. You give us only the rights reasonably necessary to process that material for operating the service.

17. Examination boards and third parties

References to GCSE subjects, qualifications, examination boards or specifications are intended to help students study appropriate material.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Erlo Learning is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR or any other examination board.

18. Availability of the service

We aim to keep Erlo Learning available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, third-party infrastructure, security issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

19. Privacy

Our use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. We also provide a shorter Student Privacy Notice for younger users.

20. Third-party services

Erlo Learning depends on third-party technology providers for parts of the service, including hosting, databases, authentication, artificial intelligence and payment processing.

21. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Erlo Learning is provided for personal educational use. We are not responsible for examination results or losses arising solely from a student's decision to rely on AI-generated material without appropriate checking.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Erlo Learning develops or where necessary because of legal, regulatory, security or operational changes.

If a change materially affects existing users, we will take reasonable steps to notify them.

23. Complaints and contact

If you have a complaint or question about Erlo Learning, contact erlolearning@gmail.com.

We will aim to investigate complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.

24. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you continue to benefit from any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law applicable where you live.
